Gerhard Jörder
Gerhard Jörder (born September 15, 1943 in Pamplona ) is a German theater critic .
Live and act
Jörder comes from a family of teachers. He was born as the youngest of three brothers in Pamplona, Spain, where the family had moved three years earlier. His father Dr. phil. Otto Jörder was a Hispanist and headmaster at the Kepler Gymnasium in Freiburg . Gerhard Jörder himself studied history and German in Freiburg and Munich. From 1973 to 1998 he headed the cultural department of the Badische Zeitung in Freiburg im Breisgau and as such was responsible for culture, local culture and the media. He also worked regularly for Theater heute .
In 1998 he succeeded Benjamin Henrichs as the theater editor in charge and, alongside Sigrid Löffler, he was also deputy head of the features section of the Hamburg weekly newspaper Die Zeit . Since 2001, based on an author contract with the time on their own, Jörder is active as a writer, juror, lecturer and presenter.
From 1980 to 1983, 1990 to 1993, 1995 to 1998 and 2001 to 2004 he was a member of the jury of the Berlin Theatertreffen . Since 1993 he has been a member of the jury of the Else Lasker Schüler Dramatist Prize .
2014 was published by Theater der Zeit the conversation band backstage OSTERMEIER where Jörder the director of the Berlin Schaubühne Thomas Ostermeier Meier interviewed.
