Gerhard Jörder (born September 15, 1943 in Pamplona ) is a German theater critic .

Jörder comes from a family of teachers. He was born as the youngest of three brothers in Pamplona, ​​Spain, where the family had moved three years earlier. His father Dr. phil. Otto Jörder was a Hispanist and headmaster at the Kepler Gymnasium in Freiburg . Gerhard Jörder himself studied history and German in Freiburg and Munich. From 1973 to 1998 he headed the cultural department of the Badische Zeitung in Freiburg im Breisgau and as such was responsible for culture, local culture and the media.
