Gerhard Keil (born April 28, 1945 in Beuern ; † August 5, 2018 ) was a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Gerhard Keil studied education at the University of Gießen after high school graduation (1965) and military service (1965/66) . In 1969 he passed the first and in 1972 the second state examination and was a teacher at various schools until 1976. Most recently he was the pedagogical director of the Allendorf comprehensive school, which is based on the type of school .

politics

Gerhard Keil was a member of the CDU and was active there in various board positions. From 1974 to 1975 he was chairman of the CDU in the Gießen district. From 1972 to 1985, Keil was a member of the district council and chairman of the CDU parliamentary group there. In 1977 he was also an honorary first alderman in Lich . From December 14, 1976 to January 15, 1985, Keil was a member of the Hessian state parliament. In 1985 he left to become a full-time first district councilor in the district of Gießen . He held the office only briefly until he was recalled on August 20, 1985. For a short time, Keil found a new political home with the Republicans . He was a founding member of the Gießen district association on May 23, 1989. Ten months later, he left the right-wing party again.
