Gerhard Krempel

Gerhard Krempel (born February 4, 1931 in Westerburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending high schools in Hadamar and Limburg , he passed his Abitur in 1951 . Krempel then studied law and political science in Mainz as a working student. He passed the first state examination in 1957. After completing his legal traineeship at the OLG Koblenz , he passed the second state examination in 1961 .

From 1955 to 1957 he worked as a research assistant and assistant at the Institute for Political Science and Politics at the University of Mainz. Since 1961 he has been working as a lawyer in Westerburg, where he founded the law firm Krempel.

Political party

Krempel has been a member of the CDU since 1949. He was chairman of the JU in the Oberwesterwaldkreis, district chairman of the CDU and state chairman of the KPV Rhineland-Palatinate .

MP

Krempel was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament from May 18, 1967 to May 17, 1983 . He belonged to the state parliament for a total of 4 electoral terms. In the 6th electoral term he was deputy chairman of the legal committee and a member of the cultural policy committee. In the 7th electoral term, from December 6, 1973, he was chairman of the committee for internal affairs, a member of the committee of inquiry "Buying a mandate" and deputy chairman of the committee of inquiry "Dr. Augustin". In the 8th and 9th electoral terms he was still chairman of the Interior Committee.

From 1965 to 1974 he was parliamentary group chairman of the CDU in the district council of the Oberwesterwaldkreis and from 1972 to 1974 a member and parliamentary group spokesman in the Westerburg municipal council .

He was also a member of the board of directors of Nassauische Sparkasse , chairman of the Association of Friends and Patrons of the Church of Our Lady and honorary chairman of the Westerwald Lawyers' Association.
