Gerhard Pollheide

Gerhard Pollheide (born October 20, 1951 in Isenstedt ) is a German writer and visual artist .

Live and act

Gerhard Pollheide was a banker until 1990 and a management consultant from 1991 to 2000. He has already appeared in this field before, has been a freelance visual artist and writer since 2001 and from 2007 to 2013 also worked as a radio presenter at the German-speaking Radio del Sol in Algarrobo .

So far he has had book publications with texts in poetry and prose (partly supplemented by his own drawings) in the Kunsthaus Verlag ( Boddin ) as well as self-publications via the self-publishing platform Book on Demand ( Norderstedt ) and self-published in his Brandheiß Verlag ( Lübbecke ). He is a member of the Association of German Writers and the Federal Association of Visual Artists .

Pollheide also gained regional attention as a visual artist: in the 1990s with exhibitions such as B. on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia or in the state parliament building of Saxony-Anhalt as well as in 2011 with an art campaign in Spain as part of the " May 15th Movement ".

In 2002 the Westphalian Literature Archive acquired Gerhard Pollheide's legacy , a. a. handwritten manuscripts , letters, paintings and drawings.

Pollheide is divorced and has a daughter. He has lived in Spain and Germany with his partner since 2003 .
