Gerhard dancer
Gerhard Tänzer (born March 18, 1937 in Nordhausen ) is a German writer .
Life
After graduating from school in his hometown, Tänzer moved to West Germany in 1955 because he was unable to study in the GDR . From 1956 to 1962 he studied German , history and art history in Göttingen . He then worked for a few years in the Lower Saxony school service. From 1967 until his retirement in 2000, Dancer taught at the Max-Planck-Gymnasium (Saarlouis) .
Gerhard Dancer appeared in public primarily as a poet . From 1970 onwards he published numerous poems in magazines and anthologies, and from 1979 onwards, volumes of poetry appeared as monographs. He also wrote plays and radio plays . He wrote the text of the Saarlandlied , the official Saarland national anthem , which has been in effect since 2003 . Dancer lives in Berus .
