Gerhard Woitschell

Gerhard Woitschell (born March 24, 1910 in Berlin ; † November 9, 1969 ) was a Hessian politician ( NPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from high school, Gerhard Woitschell studied economics at the humanistic grammar school in Berlin and graduated with a degree in economics and a Dr. rer. pole. from. In 1934/35 he was a research assistant in the DAF . From 1935 to 1940 he worked as managing director of the Reichsinnungsverband des Buchdruckerhandwerk, later the specialist group book printing in the business group printing and paper processing and from 1940 as a clerk in the main trust agency East in Berlin. From April 2, 1941 he was a soldier, most recently a non-commissioned officer in an infantry assault regiment. From 1945 to 1948 he worked as a construction worker in Wiesbaden before he earned his living in Wiesbaden as a representative from 1949 to 1950 and as a spirits wholesaler from September 1950.

politics

Gerhard Woitschell was a member of the Young German Order in 1926/27 and through it came to the NSDAP in 1928 ( date of admission: March 1, 1928, NSDAP membership number 88,769), of which he was a member until 1945. In the NSDAP he worked on a voluntary basis until March 1938, most recently as a local group leader in the Berlin district of Wedding . As an old fighter he was awarded the party gold badge . In the NSKK he had the rank of Obersturmführer (inactive). Already from 1928 to 1932 in the SA (since 1930 as squad leader), he was again a member from 9 November 1937 (as storm leader). In addition, Woitschell was the recipient of the Silver Gau Ehrenzeichen Berlin.

In 1949/50 he became a member of the then short-lived NDP in Hesse . From 1959 until its self-dissolution in 1965 he was a member of the DRP . In the DRP he was a member of the party leadership. Since the founding of the NPD in November 1964, he was a member and first deputy chairman of the state of Hesse.

From December 1, 1966 until his death he was a member of the Hessian state parliament and deputy chairman of the NPD parliamentary group there. In 1969 he was a member of the 5th Federal Assembly .
