Gerhard Zech (politician)

Gerhard Zech (born June 19, 1937 in Darmstadt ) is a Bavarian politician of the FDP and was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament in the 8th , 9th and 12th legislative periods .

Life

Zech studied physics in Darmstadt, Munich and Göttingen and graduated in 1962 with a degree in physics, followed four years later with a doctorate. He later started to work at IABG in Ottobrunn in the areas of data processing and systems research.

politics

Zech joined the FDP in 1960 and was a member of the state board of the Liberal Student Union of Germany in Lower Saxony from 1960 to 1964 . From 1971 to 1987 he was chairman of the Munich East District Association and from 1984 to 1988 chairman of the Munich City Association of the FDP.

Public offices

Zech was elected to the Bavarian state parliament in the state election in 1974 via the district list of Upper Bavaria . After the FDP failed to pass the five percent hurdle in the state elections in 1982 , he left the state parliament for the first time. After the state elections in 1990 , Zech moved back into the Maximilianeum for a legislative period for the FDP .

He was a member of the following committees:

  • State Budget and Financial Committee (9th legislative period)
  • Investigation committee to examine the behavior of the Bavarian Prime Minister during the rally of the CSU on September 23, 1980 on Munich's Marienplatz and to examine the incidents during and after the rally (9th legislative period)
  • Investigative committee to examine the actions of the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior and the subordinate authorities towards asylum seekers and other citizens of Eastern Bloc countries and to clarify the causes of the information deficiencies in the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior and in the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, particularly in connection with the deportation of the CSSR nationals Cermak and Zilka its political head (9th legislative period, deputy member)
  • State Budget and Financial Affairs Committee (12th legislative period)
  • Investigation committee regarding the network of relationships in Bavaria between politicians and tax debtors "tax cases" (12th legislative period)
