The Gernbach is a year-round flowing water in the Alpine foothills west of Raubling .
It arises on the southwestern edge of the moorland area of the Sterntalfilze , runs in an arch to the confluence from the right into the Kaltenbach.
The Gernbach partly forms the southwestern edge of the FFH area Moore around Raubling .
