Gerold Riedmann

Gerold Riedmann (born February 5, 1977 in Feldkirch ) is an Austrian journalist and media manager.

Career

Gerold Riedmann grew up in the Vorarlberg market town of Rankweil . At tv.münchen he completed a journalistic training from 1996, when tv.münchen was still broadcasting its program via a program window on Sat.1 . During his training he was a presenter at the private Munich radio station Radio Gong 96.3 . From 1998 to 2000 he was enrolled at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich for the journalism course. From 2000, Riedmann was editor-in-chief of a cross-media agency that worked for Bayerischer Rundfunk and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , among others , and was responsible for the website of RTL II - the reality show Big Brother . At the same time he was a presenter at FAZ Businessradio and put the first German multimedia radio broadcast on Bayern 3 .

Back in Vorarlberg, he was deputy editor-in-chief of the daily Vorarlberger Nachrichten from 2007 to 2011 . In 2011 he graduated from the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago , a graduate school for management at Northwestern University , after which he became managing director of Vorarlberg Online and Russmedia Digital GmbH. In May 2015 he became managing director of Russmedia Austria and UN editor-in-chief.

Riedmann has been Vice President of the Global Editors Network (GEN) since 2012. Gerold Riedmann has been President of the European Division of the International News Media Association (INMA) for a two-year term since 2018.
