Gertrud the Younger of Braunschweig (* around 1060; † December 9, 1117 in Braunschweig ) from the Brunones family was Margravine of Meißen .

Gertrud was the daughter of Margrave Ekbert I of Meißen and Irmgard von Susa . She was initially married to Count Dietrich II of Katlenburg († 1085). After the childless death of her older brother Ekbert II in 1090, she received the Brunon property around Brunswick. In her second marriage, Gertrud was married to Count Heinrich the Fat von Northeim († 1101). Their daughter Richenza von Northeim († 1141) married Lothar von Süpplingenburg , Duke of Saxony and later Emperor. This inherited the Brunonese property around Braunschweig. Gertrud's third husband was the Wettin Heinrich I von Eilenburg († 1103), Margrave of Meißen. She secured rule over the Margraviate of Meissen for her underage son, who later became Margrave Heinrich II .

She is important for the history of Braunschweig as the founder of the Aegidienkloster founded in 1115 .
