The Geylang International Football Club is a football club based in Singapore . He plays in the highest league in Singapore, the S. League . The association is based in the Bedok district. From 1996 to 2012 the club was active as Geylang United Football Club , for the 2013 season the old club name was adopted again.

Club history

The association was founded under the name International Contract Specialists in 1974. In 1975 the association was renamed Geylang International and in 1996 with the introduction of the S. League it was renamed Geylang United . The club played in both the unofficial National Football League (1975–1987) and the Premier League (1988–1995). In the Premier League they were the dominant club, with six championships in a row, from 1988 to 1993. Geylang was a founding member of the S. League and was its first champion, 2001 you could win this title again. You could also win the national cup twice, in 1996 the Singapore FA Cup and in 2009 the Singapore Cup .
