Indra Sahdan Bin Daud (born March 5, 1979 ) is a Singaporean soccer player who currently plays for Home United and is a member of the Singapore national soccer team .

Career

Bin Daud started his career at Geylang United . In 2001 he moved to Home United . In 2003, he became the first player from Singapore to score more than 100 goals in the S-League . In the same year, he extended his contract with Home United, making it the highest-paid player in the league.

In 2003, through an agreement between Chelsea FC and Emirates, he often took part in the training of the "Blues" in London.

In 2008 he scored ten goals this season - although handicapped by injuries. After the ASEAN soccer championship in 2008 , his contract with Home United ran out and he moved to league rivals Sengkang Punggol . Bin Daud scored 11 goals in 22 games while at Sengkang Punggol.

In 2010 he moved to FC Singapore Armed Forces . After two seasons he returned to Home United .

National team

He made his international debut on April 26, 1997 against Kuwait . He has been the most reliable striker since top scorer Fandi Ahmad retired and a very popular player with the fans.

With the national team he won the ASEAN soccer championship in 1998 , 2004 and 2007 .

At the 1998 ASEAN soccer championship , he scored the decisive 1-0 goal that secured Singapore the win over Vietnam and the title. This was the first time Singapore had become Southeast Asian champions.

In 2001, when Manchester United made their Asian tour, Bin Daud was the goalscorer in their 8-1 loss to Manchester. Due to his good hit rate, he was the top scorer at the 2001 Southeast Asian Games. In the ASEAN soccer championships in 2000 and 2002 , he scored no goals.

Bin Daud's most spectacular game was in 2004 in qualifying for the 2006 World Cup . In the 1: 2 defeat against Japan , he achieved the interim 1: 1 equalization with a remarkable hit.

He suffered a serious knee injury during the game against Malaysia in May 2006 and was sidelined for the rest of the year. He made his comeback in December 2006 at the King's Cup against Thailand .

When the then captain of the national team, Aide Iskandar, was banned from the friendly against the United Arab Emirates because of an unpleasant incident , Bin Daud took over the armband for this game. It ended in a 1-1 draw. After Iskandar announced his resignation from the national team shortly before the game against Tajikistan , Bin Daud became the new captain. He still holds this position today.

He has played 114 games so far and scored 30 goals.
