Aide Iskandar (born May 28, 1975 in Singapore ) is a former Singaporean soccer player who was last under contract with Sengkang Punggol in 2009 and was his country's record player with 121 international matches until 2012. He won the ASEAN soccer championship in 2004 and 2007 . He was also a member of the team that won the 1998 ASEAN soccer championship.

Career

He played at Home United for almost ten years before moving to Johor FA in Malaysia in November 2005 . He then moved to the Tampines Rovers on loan for a year . For the 2007/2008 season he moved to Geylang United .

In September 2007, he was banned from playing five games and fined $ 2,500 for insulting a referee for conceding two controversial goals against Geylang United , causing the team to lose the game in the final five minutes. He is said to have said: "How much did you bet on the game?".

Because of this incident, he was kicked out of the squad for the friendly against the United Arab Emirates and for the World Cup qualifier against Palestine . However, he was recalled and the ban was lifted by the association.

On November 9, 2007, shortly before the World Cup qualifier against Tajikistan , he announced his resignation and passed the armband on to Indra Sahdan Bin Daud .

In April 2008 it was announced that Iskandar would be the technical director of the AC Milan Junior Camps.

In 2009 he switched to Sengkang Punggol , where he acted as a player and assistant coach, like Mirko Grabovac in the previous year , and took over the training management on an interim basis after Jörg Steinebrunner's dismissal .
