Giacinto-Boulos Marcuzzo (born April 24, 1945 in San Polo di Piave , Italy ) is an Italian Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop emeritus in the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem .

Life

Giacinto-Boulos Marcuzzo received after his theological studies at the seminary of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem in Beit Jala on 22 June 1969, the priestly ordination .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Siminina and auxiliary bishop in the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem on April 29, 1993 . He was ordained bishop by Patriarch Michel Sabbah on July 3, 1993. Co- consecrators were Hanna Kaldany , auxiliary bishop in Jerusalem, and Eugenio Ravignani , bishop of Vittorio Veneto . On October 29, 1994 he was appointed titular bishop of Emmaüs .

As auxiliary bishop in the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, he was also Patriarchal Vicar for Israel based in Nazareth until 2017 . On June 15, 2017, he was appointed Vicar General in the Latin Patriarchate and Patriarchal Vicar for Jerusalem and Palestine by the Apostolic Administrator of Jerusalem, Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa .

On August 29, 2020, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
