Giacomo Santiago Rogado's work has been shown in numerous exhibitions, including at the Aargauer Kunsthaus Aarau, the Kunsthaus Baselland , the St. Gallen Art Museum and the Lucerne Art Museum .

Patience and calm are essential features of Rogado's diverse pictorial worlds. Be it the pensive gaze of the portrayed figures, the visually vibrating surfaces of the abstract images or the infinite cloud landscapes here and there - Rogado plays a subtle game with different pictorial traditions. From romantic ideas to surrealistic dream images to the constructive language of forms of the 1950s and their excesses in Op Art , Giacomo Santiago Rogado uses a wide variety of styles. But not in the sense of quotations, but in exploring the possibilities of painting itself. In keeping with the tradition of the genre, Rogado's works can be understood as a window to another world, which, however, far from any claim to truth, is only the work of our imagination . Similar to the imaginary images of our world of thought, apparently diverging elements meet. Figuration and abstraction lead a symbiotic coexistence in Rogado's pictures .

Giacomo Santiago Rogado creates a very individual artistic cosmos by combining and merging the most varied of form and image worlds, in which he seems to have set himself the goal of experiencing the properties and functions of the image through painting.
