Giampietro Stocco

Giampietro Stocco (born August 13, 1961 in Rome ) is an Italian writer and RAI journalist who excelled as an author primarily with science fiction and alternative world history novels.

Life

Stocco grew up in Rome. Graduated from La Sapienza University in Rome with a degree in political science with a thesis on national and ethnic minorities in Europe; The focus was on South Tyrol and Schleswig-Holstein . He studied his master's degree in contemporary history from 1987 to 1989 in Denmark at the Syddansk Universitet in Odense , at the University of Roskilde and at the Institute for Border Region Research in Aabenraa .

He lives in Genoa , where he has been working as a television journalist for the Italian state RAI since 1991 .

His first novel, Nero Italiano , came out in 2003. The second novel, Dea del Caos (2005), was performed in 2006 by the Genovese Teatro Garage in a stage version, directed by Lorenzo Costa in Finale Ligure . Since then, more of his novels have hit the book market every 1–2 years.
