Gianfranco gallon
Gianfranco Gallone (born April 20, 1963 in Ceglie Messapica ) is an Italian clergyman , diplomat of the Holy See and appointed Roman Catholic Archbishop .
Life
Gianfranco Gallone received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Oria on September 3, 1988 .
After his ordination he obtained a degree in canon law and a licentiate in liturgy . On June 19, 2000, he entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See. He was employed in the nunciatures in Mozambique, Israel, Slovakia, India and Sweden as well as in the Vatican State Secretariat in the section for relations with the states, most recently with the rank of nunciator council.
On February 2, 2019 it appointed Pope Francis to Titular Archbishop of Motula and apostolic nuncio in Zambia . Cardinal State Secretary Pietro Parolin donated him episcopal ordination on March 19 of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Fernando Filoni , and the Bishop of Oria, Vincenzo Pisanello .
On May 8, 2019, he was also appointed Apostolic Nuncio in Malawi .
