Gidle is a village in the south of the Łódź Voivodeship in the Radomszczański powiat in Poland . It is the seat of the rural community of the same name with 6091 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2019).

In the village there is a primary school and the high school (Realschule) of the community.

history

Since the 17th century there has been a sanctuary of the Gidler Mother of God of the Dominicans in the village . Earlier names of the place were Gidzielice or Gidzle . The name comes from a name Gidziela .

From 1975 to 1998 the municipality was part of the Częstochowa Voivodeship .
