Gigi Perreau

Gigi Perreau (* 6. February 1941 in Los Angeles , California , as Ghislaine Elizabeth Marie Thérèse Perreau-Saussine ) is an American actress and voice actress who has been active since she was two.

Life

Gigi Perreau was born in Los Angeles on February 6, 1941. At the age of only two years she played in her first film Madame Curie . This was followed by small, uncredited roles in several films such as The Life of Mrs. Skeffington . Perreau's first major role was that of Julie in the biography Clara Schumann's great love . She got her first leading role in 1950 as a murder witness in the thriller Shadow on the Wall . At the age of ten, Perreau became the youngest person ever to receive the golden keys to the city of Pittsburgh by then Mayor David Leo Lawrence .

In the 1950s, Perreau's fame continued to decline with increasing age, which is why the former child actress switched to television and only occasionally appeared in films. For example, she had a recurring role in the sitcom The Betty Hutton Show , in which she appeared together with her brother Peter Miles, who also worked as an actor. She was also a guest star in several dozen other series.

Perreau is still active today. In recent years she has worked as a voice actress in the films Fly Me to the Moon 3D and Sammy's Adventure - The Search for the Secret Passage . Perreau's last film appearance to date was 2017 as a voice actress for Grandma Swift in the animated film Crash: The Animated Movie . She has played the same role since 2016 in the television series Crash: The Animated Series .

On the occasion of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in May 2018, Gigi Perreau was interviewed in a television special on the ITV television channel and greeted the couple during their carriage ride to Windsor Castle . Meghan Markle took acting classes with Perreau early in her career at Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles.

Gigi Perreau was married twice. From 1960 to 1967 with businessman Emil Frank Gallo, then from 1970 to 2000 with production manager Gene Harve deRuelle. Perreau had two children each with both spouses, and both marriages were divorced.
