Gil Pomeranz (born November 17, 1991 in Tel Aviv , Israel ) is a handball player who plays for the Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv and plays for the Israeli national team. In addition to Israeli citizenship , he also has German citizenship .

Career

Gil Pomeranz played in his home at Maccabi Tel Aviv , for which he 2012/13 in the EHF Challenge Cup and 2013/14 in the EHF European Cup aground, and with whom he won the championship in 2014. On the recommendation of his brother Chen , who has played for TV Großwallstadt since 2012 , the 1.81 meter left winger moved to TVG in 2014, where he signed a one-year contract and replaced the long-term injured Florian Eisträger . Due to the bankruptcy of TV Großwallstadt, Pomeranz moved back to Maccabi Tel Aviv after only one season. In 2016 he won the championship for the second time with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

With the Israeli national team, Pomeranz took part in qualifying for the 2014 European Championship in Denmark .
