Gilbert Sinoué

Gilbert Sinoué (born February 18, 1947 in Cairo , Egypt ) is a French writer of Egyptian origin.

Life

Sinoué attended the Jesuit college in his hometown and, at the age of nineteen, went to France in 1966 to study music. He studied a. a. Classical guitar at the École normal de musique .

reception

His first literary attempts also originate from Sinoué's student days, which he soon gave up in favor of music. It wasn't until 1987 that he made his debut as a writer. After surpassing the success of his first novel, he left music and devoted himself mainly to writing. In addition to his novels, Sinoué was also successful as a scriptwriter.
