Unviern

Neiv e neiv!
Tut la pleiv
Ei da neiv curclada;
Gie perfin
Sin tgamin
Ei 'la setschentada.

Prau ed èr
E pumer
Sut la neiv suspira;
Buc in trutg,
Buc in dutg
Va tras la planira.

Senza neiv
Ella pleiv
Mo in liug s'engarta.
Nu'ei quei?
O igl ei
Ina foss'aviarta. "

Translation:

Winter

snow and more snow!
The whole parish
is covered in snow;
He even covered
the chimney
.

Meadows and fields
and trees
sigh under the load of snow;
No path
and no stream
can be seen in the plain.

Without snow
in the parish
there is only one place.
Where is he?
Oh it's
an empty grave. "
