Giorgi Tschanturia ( Georgian გიორგი ჭანტურია ; FIFA spelling according to English transcription Giorgi Chanturia ; born April 11, 1993 in Tbilisi ) is a Georgian football player .
Career
society
Tschanturia's career began in the youth of FC Saburtalo in his Georgian homeland before moving to the youth of FC Barcelona in 2009. In 2010, the Dutch first division club Vitesse Arnheim signed him . There he played in the youth, before joining the first team in 2011. In the 2011/12 season he made 25 appearances for Vitesse and scored four goals. He and his team qualified for the Europa League via the play-offs . After he was hardly used in the first half of the 2012/13 season , he was loaned to the Russian first division club Alania Wladikawkas in early 2013 , but was only used there six times and was relegated with his club at the end of the season . He returned to Vitesse.
Early 2014 Tschanturia was to the Romanian first division club CFR Cluj transfers, half a year later brought him Hellas Verona in the Italian Serie A . Verona awarded it to CFR Cluj for a year at the beginning of September 2014.
In September 2015, MSV Duisburg brought him to the 2nd Bundesliga . On October 5, 2015, he made his debut against SC Paderborn 07 with his substitution in the second half and scored the decisive goal for the 1-0 final score in favor of his team.
On July 1, 2016, after the relegation of MSV Duisburg, he moved to the Russian first division club Ural Yekaterinburg free of charge , where he signed a contract until June 30, 2019. At the end of November 2016, he suffered an injury and was out for the rest of the season.
National team
After playing 15 games for the Georgian U-21 national team , he was appointed to the senior national team for the first time in March 2014 . In the 2-0 success against Liechtenstein he was in the starting line-up and made it 1-0 for his country.
