Giovanna Turchiarelli (born September 30, 1983 in Foggia ) is an Italian inline speed skater . She started inline skating when she was six .

She achieved her first international successes at the Inline Speed ​​Skating Junior World Championships in 1999 and 2000, where she was able to win a total of three medals.

She was able to build on her successes in the senior category and won numerous medals at the European Inline Speed ​​Skating Championships . In 2006 Turchiarelli won her first gold medal with the relay at the Inline Speed ​​Skating European Championship . In the same year, she also won the prestigious Berlin Marathon for the first time .

Turchiarelli wins the bronze medal in the marathon at the 2008 World Championships in Gijón . This is her only medal at a world championship so far.

Between 2006 and 2011 she took part in numerous World Inline Cup races and has won nine World Cup victories so far. In 2010 she also won the overall standings.

In 2010 she won the Berlin Marathon for the second time . In the final sprint she defeated Cecilia Baena , who missed her fourth triumph in Berlin.
