Sabine Berg (born July 28, 1990 in Gera ) is a German inline speed skater of the " RSV Blau-Weiß Gera ". Since 2008 she has won several titles and medals at the World and European Championships in inline speed skating .

Career

Sabine Berg's mother Katharina was an active skater herself and works as a trainer at RSV Blau-Weiß Gera, which is why Sabine Berg got into speed skating at an early age. In the junior division, she was ten times European champion. In 2007 she was junior world champion in the elimination race over 20,000 meters (road) at the World Championships in Cali (Colombia). In 2011 and 2012 she won the Berlin Marathon after finishing second in 2007. In 2013 she was third at the Berlin Marathon at the same time as Katharina Rumpus .

In her first active season in July 2008 she won three gold and one bronze medal at the European Championships in her hometown of Gera . First, on July 23, she was third in the track race over 1,000 meters, on July 26, she won the 10,000-meter point race on the road and in the women's 5,000-meter relay (with Tina Strüver and Jana opponents ). A day later she won the marathon race.

In September 2008 she won silver in the marathon race at the World Championships in Gijón and bronze in the 3,000-meter relay with Jana opponents and Lisa Kaluzni .

In 2009 she won four gold medals at the European Championships in Ostend and three gold medals at the World Championships in Haining . In the Germany-wide German-Inline-Cup racing series , she also won the overall standings.

In 2010 she won another three gold medals at the European Championships in San Benedetto del Tronto .

At the World Cup , she was able to win a silver medal in the relay and qualify for the 2013 World Games .

Sabine Berg is police chief and member of the sports promotion group of the Thuringian police . She has been part of the TAX Racing team since 2016 .
