Katharina Isabell Rumpus (born May 14, 1993 in Heilbronn ) is a German inline speed skater .

Career

In 2010 Rumpus won three medals at the Junior World Championships in Guarne, Colombia . Among them is the gold medal in the elimination race, which she was subsequently awarded based on the positive doping test of the Colombian athlete Paola Serrano.

She then won gold in the marathon and two bronze medals in the relay at the 2011 Junior World Championships in Yeosu, Korea . She could not defend the title in the elimination race.

In 2012 she won two gold medals in the marathon and relay as well as one silver over 1000 m at the Junior World Championships .

She trains at SSF Heilbronn . Rumpus has been part of the Powerslide Matter World Team since 2010 .

Over 1000 meters on the track and in her specialty marathon, the student teacher at Heidelberg University came fourth at the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taiwan.

Her father Bernd Rumpus is the national trainer of the German speed skaters.
