Girardot is a district ( municipality ) in the state of Aragua , Venezuela . With a good 400,000 inhabitants, it is the largest of the 18 Municipios Araguas.
geography
In addition to the main town of Maracay on the north bank of Lake Valencia , which is also the capital of the state, the district extends to the Caribbean coastal town of Choroní . To the west, Diego Ibarra borders Girardot in the state of Carabobo .
