Gisela Brünner

Gisela Brünner (born January 12, 1951 in Astfeld ) is a German linguist . From 1993 to 2013 she taught as a professor for the German language with a focus on "Linguistic interaction in professional and institutional contexts" at the Technical University of Dortmund . Brno has written relevant papers on business communication , health communication on television and in the field of conversation research .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1969, Brünner studied German, classical philology and pedagogy at the University of Hamburg . After passing the state examination for teaching at grammar schools , she did her doctorate in 1978 at the University of Osnabrück in the subject of linguistics with a thesis on communication in operational cooperation processes . From 1978 Brno was a research assistant at the Universities of Düsseldorf and Dortmund . In 1986 she completed her habilitation in German linguistics at the University of Dortmund. From 1986 to 1987 she completed her legal clerkship and the second state examination for teaching at secondary levels. In 1993 she was appointed professor at the Institute for German Language and Literature at the Technical University of Dortmund. In addition, from 1993 to 1994, 1996 and 2004 she held visiting professorships or substitute professorships at the Institute for Linguistics at the University of Vienna .
