Giuseppe Bausardo
Giuseppe Bausardo SDB (born April 24, 1951 in Cairo ) is emeritus Vicar Apostolic of Alexandria in Egypt .
Life
Giuseppe Bausardo joined the order of the Salesians of Don Bosco and was ordained a priest on July 2, 1978 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him on February 24, 2001 Vicar Apostolic of Alexandria in Egypt and Titular Bishop of Ida in Mauretania . The Apostolic Nuncio in Egypt Paolo Giglio consecrated him on June 3 of the same year as bishop ; Co- consecrators were Youssef Ibrahim Sarraf , Bishop of Cairo , and Ignazio Bedini SDB, Archbishop of Isfahan .
He resigned from his post on October 29, 2008 for health reasons.
