Giuseppe Iadisernia (* 1957 in Italy ) is a Venezuelan horse trainer and poker player .

Personal

At the age of six, Iadisernia moved with his family from Italy to the Venezuelan capital Caracas . There he worked in a laundry and helped out in his parents' electrical company. Even then, he was busy with racehorses in Venezuela and Puerto Rico . From 2007 he focused on this business and opened a stall in Hallandale Beach in the US state of Florida , where he still lives today. In 2008 he owned around 40 horses.

Poker career

Since 2011, Iadisernia has occasionally taken part in renowned live poker tournaments. He almost exclusively plays high roller events. H. Tournaments with buy-ins of at least US $ 10,000 .

In July 2011 , Iadisernia first won the World Series of Poker at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and made it into the money at the Main Event . In mid-November 2018 he won the Super High Roller at the partypoker Caribbean Poker Party in Nassau , Bahamas, and secured a prize of $ 845,000 . In December 2019, he finished second in the High Roller of the Five Diamond World Poker Classic at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, which was worth almost $ 280,000.

Overall, Iadisernia has earned more than 1.5 million US dollars with poker in live tournaments, making it the second most successful Venezuelan poker player after Iván Freitez-Rosales .
