Giuseppe Verucchi (born November 23, 1937 in Miceneo di Pavullo near Frignano , Modena province , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Archbishop of Ravenna-Cervia .

Life

Verucchi was ordained a priest on June 29, 1961 . After various pastoral tasks in parishes in the Archdiocese of Modena- Nonantola (Castelnuovo Rangone, Formigine, Fiorano Modenese), he was appointed Vicar General of this Archdiocese in 1986 , which he remained until 1997.

Pope John Paul II awarded him the title of Honorary Prelate of His Holiness on June 20, 1992 . On March 9, 2000, John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Ravenna-Cervia . On May 13, 2000, he was ordained episcopal in Modena by the Archbishop of Modena, Benito Cocchi . Pope Benedict XVI On November 17, 2012 he accepted his resignation due to reasons of age.
