Lorenzo Ghizzoni (born April 3, 1955 in Cognento , Reggio Emilia province , Italy ) is Archbishop of Ravenna-Cervia .

Life

Lorenzo Ghizzoni received on 14 September 1979, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on February 17, 2006 titular bishop of Ottana and auxiliary bishop in the diocese of Reggio Emilia-Guastalla . The Bishop of Reggio Emilia-Guastalla, Adriano Caprioli , ordained him episcopal on April 29 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the bishop emeritus of Reggio Emilia-Guastalla, Giovanni Paolo Gibertini OSB , and the bishop of Piacenza-Bobbio , Luciano Monari . Lorenzo Ghizzoni was also Vicar General of the Diocese of Reggio Emilia-Guastalla. As a motto he chose In sapientia crucis pax .

On November 17, 2012, Benedict XVI appointed him. to the Archbishop of Ravenna-Cervia. The ceremonial inauguration ( enthronement ) took place on January 20, 2013.
