Adriano Caprioli (born May 16, 1936 in Solbiate Olona , Province of Varese , Italy ) is Bishop Emeritus of Reggio Emilia-Guastalla .

Life

The Archbishop of Milan , Giovanni Battista Cardinal Montini , ordained him on June 28, 1959 . Caprioli was then incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Milan . In 1961 he completed his theology studies in Rome and initially taught at the Masnago Seminary in Varese before teaching at the Venegono Inferiore seminary , the diocesan seminary of the Archdiocese of Milan, from 1972 to 1993 . In 1995 he became dean of the parishes in Legnano .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Reggio Emilia-Guastalla on June 27, 1998. The Archbishop of Milan, Carlo Maria Cardinal Martini SJ , donated him episcopal consecration on September 12th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Pasquale Macchi , Prelate of Loreto , and Giovanni Paolo Gibertini OSB , Bishop Emeritus of Reggio Emilia-Guastalla.

On September 29, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI. the resignation put forward by Adriano Caprioli for reasons of age and appointed him until the inauguration of his successor on December 16 of the same year as Apostolic Administrator of the diocese.
