The Roman Catholic Diocese of Reggio Emilia-Guastalla ( lat. : Dioecesis Regiensis in Aemilia-Guastallensis , Italian : Diocese of Reggio Emilia-Guastalla ) is in Italy situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in Reggio Emilia .
history
It was built in the 1st century as the diocese of Reggio Emilia and was subordinate to the Archdiocese of Milan as a suffragan . In the 7th century, the Diocese of Reggio Emilia was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Ravenna as a suffragan. On December 10, 1582, the diocese of Reggio Emilia was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Bologna as a suffragan. The diocese of Reggio Emilia was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Modena as a suffragan on August 22, 1855 .
On 30 September 1986 the diocese of Reggio Emilia was by the Congregation for Bishops with the decree Instantibus votis the Diocese of Guastalla affiliated.
