Luigi Amaducci

Luigi Amaducci (born March 4, 1924 in Russi , Province of Ravenna , Italy , † May 3, 2010 in Cesena , Province of Forlì-Cesena ) was Archbishop of Ravenna-Cervia .

Life

Amaducci was ordained a priest on April 5, 1947 . Pope Paul VI appointed him in 1977 bishop of the diocese of Cesena and the diocese of Sarsina. The episcopal ordination donated him on June 18, 1977, the bishop of Forli, Giovanni Proni ; Co-consecrators were the former bishop of Forli, Paolo Babini , and his predecessor Augusto Gianfranceschi . During his tenure, the two dioceses were united in 1986, so that on September 30, 1986 he was appointed bishop of the diocese of Cesena-Sarsina .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Ravenna-Cervia on October 27, 1990. When he reached the age limit for the office of bishop, he was retired on March 9, 2000.

He was buried in the family vault in Traversara in Bagnacavallo (Ravenna).
