Givanildo Oliveira

Givanildo José de Oliveira (born August 8, 1948 in Olinda , Pernambuco ) is a former Brazilian football player and current coach .

Career as a player

From 1969 to 1976 and from 1978 to 1979 he played for Santa Cruz FC , with whom he was eight-time national champion in Campeonato Pernambucano . From 1976 to 1977 he was with Corinthians São Paulo , with whom he won the State Championship of São Paulo in 1977 . In 1980 he played for Fluminense Rio de Janeiro and from 1980 to 1982 for Sport Recife and was also two-time national champions with them. He then became the club's football coach.

Givanildo Oliveira also played several times for the Seleção , the Brazilian national football team, and won the 1976 USA Bicentennial Cup Tournament to mark the 200th anniversary of the United States' Declaration of Independence . Most recently, he was in charge of América Mineiro . He is currently unemployed.

Career as a coach

Oliveira u. a. for the following football clubs : Sport Recife , Náutico Capibaribe , Santa Cruz FC , ABC Natal in Natal , Fortaleza EC , Club do Remo , EC Bahia , Paysandu SC , AA Ponte Preta , Guarani FC and Athletico Paranaense . In 2006, Sport Recife was able to return to the Série A with Givanildo Oliveira as coach .
