Outline of Svalbard
The main island of Spitzbergen in the Svalbard archipelago is geographically divided into several so-called countries . These are contiguous areas that have (more or less) strictly defined boundaries and are mostly named after well-known personalities. Larger regions are also known. The structure of Svalbard has no political or economic significance .
