Global Warning is an Austrian - Italian - American documentary from 2011 . Ernst Gossner directed and wrote the script together with co-producer Robert Narholz .

action

In Global Warning, Gossner addresses the question of why and according to which patterns people keep waging war against one another. The Alpine War between Austria-Hungary and Italy during World War I serves as an example , about which he also interviews his biological grandmother in the film. Archive recordings and current outdoor recordings of the location of the war at the time alternate.

The shooting of Global Warning found in South Tyrol , North Tyrol , Trentino , Berlin and the United States instead. The company Vent Productions and Lena film produced the film.

Performance and publication

The premiere took place on June 1, 2011 at the 21st Innsbruck International Film Festival , where the film took part in the documentary film competition.

Global Warning is distributed on DVD with English subtitles. As an extra, the DVD contains a short documentary about the film team's expedition to the scenes of the First World War in the Alps.
