Zach bell foundry
The Zach bell foundry was a company in Stralsund that cast bells in the 19th century .
History and works
No details are known about the story. Probably Simon Zach founded the workshop, it was later managed by Eduard Zach.
The following bells from Simon Zach have survived:
- 1817 - Bell of the Schlatkow village church
- 1819 - Bell of the Holy Cross Church (Kemnitz)
- 1820 - Bell of the village church hall
- 1821 - small bell of the Bartholomäuskirche in Damgarten
- 1829 - Bell of the village church in Lüssow (near Gützkow )
- 1830 - Bell of the St. Laurentius Church (Groß Kiesow)
- 1831 - Hour bell of the minster in Bad Doberan (cracked, an identical new casting was made in 2012, the old bell is still preserved)
- 1832 - Bell of the St. Jürgen Church (Starkow)
- 1842 - Bell of the castle church in Franzburg
- 1846 - Bell of the St. Ewald Church in Bodstedt
- 1849 - Bell encapsulation in St. Mary's Church (Bergen)
- 1856 - Bell of the Wolfsdorf Chapel
- 1864 - Bell of the village church Groß Mohrdorf
The bell, cast in 1848 for the St. Laurentius Church (Zudar) , was melted down in 1917 for weapons production.
