Glutz
Glutz is the name of a family from Solothurn , Switzerland , whose lines Glutz-Ruchti and Glutz von Blotzheim belonged to the patriciate of the city of Solothurn.
Niklaus Glutz from Derendingen was granted civil rights in the city of Solothurn in 1560. The founder of the Glutz-Ruchti line is Stephan († 1611), although this line has only been called that since 1653, when Philipp (1630–1702) married the last Ruchti, Maria Katharina. The line descended from Nikolaus Glutz (* around 1580; † January 6, 1645) has been called von Blotzheim since the purchase of the Blotzheim rule in 1681 . The French King Louis XIV confirmed the title of nobility in 1686.
