The Gmina Ciechocin is a rural community in Golub-Dobrzyń County of Kujawsko-Pomorskie , Poland . Its seat is in the village of Ciechocin [t͡ɕeˈxɔt͡ɕin] with 776 inhabitants (2012). The city of Toruń is located about 20 km to the west.
history
The eponymous village was first mentioned in a document in 1242. From 1655 to 1657 Ciecochin was part of the Kingdom of Sweden .
From 1975 to 1998 Gmina Ciecochin was part of the Toruń Voivodeship .
