The Gmina Kłaj is a rural community in the Powiat Wielicki of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland .

economy
In the years 1968 to 1988 salt was in Łężkowice by solution mining gained with water. 16.5 million m³ of salt solution were pumped out in the municipality, from which 5 million tons of salt were extracted in the Bochnia salt mine . The subsequent backfilling and recultivation took another 20 years.
