Gockhuserbach below Gockhausen |
The Gockhuserbach (also Rütitobelbach , formerly also called Breitibach ) is a 2.1 kilometer long tributary to the left of the Breitibach in the municipalities of Zurich and Dübendorf in the Swiss canton of Zurich . It drains an area of 80 hectares on the eastern slope of the Adlisberg .
course
The brook rises as Rütitobelbach above Gockhausen in the municipality of Zurich in the Kripf forest on Adlisberg at 639 m above sea level. M. After a 200-meter run to the northeast it reaches the municipality of Dübendorf and is now Gockhuserbach called. It takes up the Lattenbach stream from the right and now cuts through the settlement area of Gockhausen , which it flows through in the center of the village. Except for a short stretch where he is overtaken, he is accompanied by a forest edge. On this short section that is overturned, it is fed from the left by the Tennmoosbächli . It now reaches the forest area again and flows through the Ursprungstobel , at the lower end of which it absorbs the water of the Tichelrütibach . The Gockhuserbach now reaches the flat Glatttal at the foot of the Adlisberg and the last 460 meters are straightened and lined with fields before it flows into the Breitibach from the left between Sonnenthal and Werlen .
Before a water correction in the 1950s, the stream was still called Breitibach . It took up the Chämmertenbach further down and flowed directly into the Glatt, where today's Breitibach flows.
