Goddelau-Wolfskehlen was a short-lived former municipality in the southern Hessian district of Groß-Gerau , which included the two neighboring towns of Goddelau and Wolfskehlen and which became part of the newly created municipality of Riedstadt after a few years .

Geographical location

The municipality of Goddelau-Wolfskehlen was on the Hessian Ried plain west of Darmstadt and south of Groß-Gerau . The two town centers are two kilometers apart, Goddelau in the south and Wolfskehlen in the north.

history

The community of Goddelau-Wolfskehlen was created on July 1, 1973 through the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent communities of Goddelau and Wolfskehlen. In the course of administrative reform in Hesse , this formation was three and a half years later, on 1 January 1977. operation of law with the communities Crumstadt , Erfelden and Leeheim to the municipality Riedstadt together , which was given city rights in the year of 2007.
