Golden Ring of Honor of the City of Aachen
The Golden Ring of Honor of the City of Aachen is awarded to personalities who have worked for the well-being and reputation of the City of Aachen and its citizens with their life's work and high level of commitment .
The Golden Ring of Honor has been awarded since 1972. The city council decides on the award in an individual decision. The ring is made as a signet ring and shows the city's coat of arms, an eagle looking to the right . The rings of honor awarded so far have an individual shape due to the respective personal style of the goldsmiths who design them. For women, the award is made and awarded in the form of a brooch as a badge of honor.
