Gong started internationally in the European Cup in Lachtal in December 2012 and came 57th in the parallel giant slalom. In December 2017, she became the Chinese champion in parallel slalom in Changchengling . At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she came 26th in the parallel giant slalom. At the beginning of the 2018/19 season, she won the silver medal in the parallel giant slalom at the 2018/19 Snowboard Junior World Championships in Cardrona and also achieved fifth place in the parallel slalom.
