Gong Naiying (born July 16, 1998 ) is a Chinese snowboarder . It starts in the parallel disciplines.

Career

Gong started internationally in the European Cup in Lachtal in December 2012 and came 57th in the parallel giant slalom. At the 2014 Junior Snowboard World Championships in Chiesa in Valmalenco , she achieved 25th place in the parallel giant slalom and 15th place in the parallel slalom and at the 2015 Junior Snowboard World Championships in Yabuli, she achieved 16th place in the parallel slalom and seventh in the parallel giant slalom . In January 2015 she finished 40th in the parallel slalom and 39th in the parallel giant slalom at the World Championships on Kreischberg . At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2016 in Rogla , she came 13th in the parallel giant slalom and 12th in the parallel slalom. She made her debut in the World Cup in December 2016 in Carezza , which she finished in 22nd place in the parallel slalom and 13th in the parallel giant slalom. At the Winter Asian Games 2017 in Sapporo , she won the bronze medal in the giant slalom. In March 2017 she finished 27th in parallel slalom and 21st place in parallel giant slalom at the World Championships in Sierra Nevada and achieved her first top ten placement in the World Cup in Kayseri with eighth place in parallel giant slalom. In December 2017, she became the Chinese champion in parallel slalom in Changchengling . At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she came 26th in the parallel giant slalom. At the beginning of the 2018/19 season, she won the silver medal in the parallel giant slalom at the 2018/19 Snowboard Junior World Championships in Cardrona and also achieved fifth place in the parallel slalom. In the further course of the season she was in the top ten three times in the World Cup. She won her first World Cup victory at the parallel slalom in the Secret Garden Skiresort and at the end of the season she took 12th place in the parallel world cup and seventh place in the parallel slalom world cup. At the season highlight, the 2019 World Championships in Park City , she finished 34th in the parallel giant slalom and 18th in the parallel slalom.
