Goran Gatarić

Goran Gatarić (born October 14, 1961 in Subotinje, Kakanj , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian painter .

Goran Gatarić initially lived and worked in Zenica and Sarajevo . In the early 1990s he moved to Milan , where he stayed for several years.

Because of the war in Bosnia , he returned to Bosnia. As a volunteer in the Army of the Republic of Serbia , he took part in the fighting over Mount Igman . Although he faced the difficulties of the war, he continued to paint. Many of his works, which were created in Bosnia in the nineties of his life , were bought by members of the NATO protection force SFOR .

After the war, Gatarić went to Bratunac , where he continued to paint and started solo exhibitions. Some of his works of art can be found in the building of the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad . The actors Nikola Kojo and Dragan Bjelogrlić, the poet Mira Bulatović, the politician Nikola Koljević, the writer Isidora Bjelica and the singer Željko Samardžić own works by Gatarić.

Private

Today Goran Gatarić lives in a village in Mačva in Serbia . He is the father of three children.
