Gordon Reid (racing driver)

Gordon Reid (born August 11, 1923 in Portland , Oregon , † April 20, 1952 in Dayton , Ohio ) was an American racing driver .

Career

Reid was mainly active in midget car races.

In 1951 he drove 12 races in the AAA National Series . His best result was a sixth place on the Milwaukee Mile in a Stevens - Offenhauser . In Indianapolis, he tried in vain to qualify for the 500-mile race .

In April 1952 he had a fatal accident in a sprint car race in Dayton.
