Gornje Košlje ( Serbian Cyrillic : Горње Кошље) is a village in western Serbia , near the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina .
Geography and population
The village is located in the Ljubovija Opština , in the Okrug Mačva . The place had 532 inhabitants at the 2011 census, compared to 649 inhabitants in 2002. According to the last three population statistics, the number of inhabitants continues to fall. 99% of the population are Serbs . In addition, 7 Montenegrins also live in the village. The village consists of 185 households. The village is a scattered settlement that consists of several hamlets .
The village is located on the canyon of the Trešnjica River. The area is known as a special nature reserve Trešnjica Canyon. There is an old water mill near the village . Gornje Košlje is located east of the Drina in the Drina Valley . The place is located south of the municipal capital Ljubovija .

The villagers in the village belong to the Serbian Orthodox Church , namely to the parish of Gornja Trešnjica in the dean's office of Azbukovica of the Šabac eparchy . There is no separate church building, but there used to be a Serbian Orthodox church on the locality of Smrdan in the village.
