Gottfried Nindl

Gottfried Nindl (born March 7, 1948 in Kaprun ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and innkeeper. From 1984 to 1999 he was a member of the Salzburg state parliament .

education and profession

Nindl attended elementary school in Kaprun between 1954 and 1958 and then switched to secondary school in Zell am See from 1958 to 1962 . He then graduated from the Federal Teachers' Training Institute in Salzburg from 1962 to 1967, where he graduated from high school in 1967 . After finishing school, Nindl did his military service from 1967 to 1968 and then began studying world trade at the University of Vienna in 1968 . There he joined the student association K.Ö.HV Mercuria Vienna in the ÖCV in 1970 . From 1970 to 1973 he studied business administration at the University of Innsbruck in the second phase of his studies and finally received his doctorate in social and business sciences in 1978. In 1968 he took over his parents' guest and hotel business in Kaprun and has been running the Hotel-Gasthof zur Mühle ever since.

Politics and functions

Nindl began his political career in local politics, where he was elected to the municipality of Kaprun in 1974 and served as a municipal councilor until 1990. From 1989 to 2003 he was also the district chairman of the Austrian Economic Association in Pinzgau and became a committee member in 1980 and in 1990 a member of the tourism section of the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce . Furthermore, in 1999 he was appointed deputy head of the tourism and leisure sector. He was sworn in as a member of the Salzburg state parliament on May 16, 1984 and was a member of the state parliament until April 26, 1999. In addition, from 1996 to 1999 he was deputy chairman of the ÖVP state parliament club.

Private

Gottfried Nindl married Monika Metzler from Bezau on May 21, 1979 . He is the father of five children and runs the family business "Zur Mühle" together with his wife.
